Cicero: Orator et Poeta – Cicero’s Use of and reflection on Poetry

Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg (12­–13/05/2025)

 

We are delighted to announce the two-day international conference ‘Cicero: Orator et Poeta ­– Cicero’s Use of and reflection on Poetry’, which will take place at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg on 12th and 13th May 2025. The event is generously sponsored by the Fritz-Thyssen Foundation. Its scope is to investigate Cicero’s poetic profile in the social and political context of late Republican Rome.
